c2e2 KotU by marcusmuller
It's been a while since I posted anything on here, but if you're going to C2E2 this weekend (April 24-26) I will be there at table D6 selling prints and other merchandise, and I will also be signing at the Geek Bar booth Saturday and Sunday from 3pm-4pm, and they will also be selling an exclusive print that I did the artwork for.  So if you're going to be there then find me and say "hi"...and maybe buy some stuff too! hahaha
Sooo I've been thinking about taking on some commissions for some extra cash, any takers?  Here's a rundown on pricing:
Full color one figure: $45
Full color one figure plus Background:  $125

The more detailed of a background and the more figures added means the price goes up though, so keep that in mind if you're interested.

Hit me up with a note if you want a commission, and I'll make you something cool!  I promise!

Next Friday I'm going to start posting new colored King of the Unknown pages on the KotU website (found here), so starting next week I'm going to post a few of the older King of the Unknown pages on my deviantArt page for those that aren't familiar with the comic.  That shouldn't stop you from going over to kingoftheunknown.com right now though and checking out the comic early :)
Hey Gang! Just thought I'd post some handy info that the Andrew Carl (my editor on King of the Unknown) passed along about where you can spot us at the New York Comic Con next weekend. We'll be there primarily for the promotion of the Once Upon a Time Machine anthology due out from Dark Horse that we did some work for (Andrew on editorial duties, and me on artwork for one of the stories), but we will also be doing some wheeling and dealing for King of the Unknown as well.

You should make sure to stop by both the artist alley table and the Dark Horse booth though to meet all of the talented folks who worked on the Once Upon a Time Machine anthology. Everyone put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into that project and each is a talented son of a gun in their own right. These guys and gals will seriously make you cry at the awesomeness of their work!

Okay, now here's that convention info!

DARK HORSE BOOTH:
FRIDAY, 6:00 p.m. (1 hour) - ONCE UPON A TIME MACHINE: James Comey, Charles Fetherolf, Rob Woods, Jim Giar, Marcus Muller, Tara Alexander, Chris Stevens, Andrew Carl

ARTIST ALLEY:
Table X6

Hope to see ya all there!
I've never done this before so I figured I would give it a try, but anyone interested in having me do some commissioned artwork for them send me a note to let me know.  Pricing varies depending on what you want me to do, so if you note me make sure you specify what you're looking to have commissioned.  Also, I'm only doing a limited number of commissions (5) to test this out and see how it goes, so once those are filled up it may be a while until I do it again, so don't hesitate if you want a commission!
My webcomic King of the Unknown went live last Friday, check it out at: www.kingoftheunknown.com
Also, the Facebook page at:  www.facebook.com/KingoftheUnkn…
If you're a fan of rock, horror, action, and comedy I think you'll probably dig it.  It stars the King of rock as a secret paranormal investigator for a shadowy organization of the U.S. government. It updates on Tuesdays and Fridays, check it out!
I posted this on my blog so I'm just going to re-post this here, but I know you all already go to my blog and have read this, right?...>sigh< Just read this and check out the links, okay:

If you've checked out my blog before you'll probably recall me mentioning something about a story I worked on along with writer David Tanh, for a futuristic fairy tale themed anthology. Well, yesterday Bleeding Cool ran a very cool (yes that was a very dorky pun) article about it and how some publisher needs to get on the ball and publish this awesome and amazing book already! Check out said article here: http/www.bleedingcool.com/2011…

And you can check out (actually I demand you check this out) the Once Upon a Time Machine Facebook page setup by editor extraodinaire Andrew Carl here: www.facebook.com/onceuponatime…

Now go spread the word so we can see this thing in stores sooner than later!
Well, I guess the cat has been out of the bag for awhile now, I will be doing King of the Unknown as a webcomic which will hopefully launch within the next month or two.  I've been meaning to do something more with King of the Unknown for some time now, and the whole webcomic thing just seemed like a good fit.  For now, go to the King of the Unknown Facebook page for the latest updates and artwork:  www.facebook.com/pages/King-of…

And please "like" it!  It only needs 2 more likes to become an "official" page (or whatever it is that happens when it gets 25 likes, I'm new at this stuff so I have no clue how it works.)
It seems like whenever I get around to posting anything on here it's not really news worthy, but I actually have something of note and something to promote here.  The second ReBoot artbook, ReBoot: Forever, is out this month and as I mentioned in an earlier journal entry, I have a pin-up in it.  For more info on the book go to the publisher's website here: www.beach-studios.com/reboot.h…

If you're a fan of the show you're definitely going to want to check the book out, besides artwork from the show's designers, it's also got commentary from the co-creators of the show, and pin-ups from various animators and comic artists.
Sorry to anyone that follows my artwork on here regarding my lack of postings.  I'm really bad at this stuff and only now have gotten around to updating the look of my blog after having that for almost 4 years.

Anyway,  I've been pretty busy with my latest comic project so the ReBoot pinup will have to hold you over for a while.  I'm doing full art chores on a 4 issue 32 page comic so look for that later this year and I'll post more about it as it nears closer to completion and the release date.  In the mean time, there will probably be some sparse art postings, but I think having a full comic done is worth it over more frequent updates on here.
I've been really busy lately trying to finish up the colors for the artwork I'm doing on the Tortoise and the Hare story that's in the Future Fairy Tales anthology project that started on the Digital Webbing boards (hows that for a run on sentence, eh?)so I haven't been able to update artwork on here as much as I'd like to.  The project has been taking me a little longer than I'd like, but I've been learning a lot from it and have picked up a lot of new tricks to add to my coloring arsenal.

I probably won't be able to show any of the new pages from it until the book comes out next year some time, but you can check out some of the early pages and design work from it in my gallery for now.

Anyway, to the handful of people that actually check out my artwork and like it, sorry about the lack of updates and I should hopefully have some newer stuff posted soon.
I think it's been about 2 years since I posted anything on here, so yeah it's been a while since I've been on here.  One of the reasons I stopped posting anything for so long is because I live out in the boonies and only get dial-up here so it takes forever to use this site.  Anyway, I've accumulated a lot of artwork since I've last used this thing so I should be posting more regularly on here now.  If only I didn't have dial-up though>grrrrrrr<(shaking fist towards the sky like an angry old man.)
